INTRODUCTION

Cooking Classes with MEERA FREEMAN

Meera runs one of the longest established cooking schools in Melbourne and personally teaches all courses offered in her purpose built city studio.

Regular 4 week courses are held in Italian, North African, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines.

These may be held on 4 consecutive Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 7.00pm to 9.30pm.

Class sizes are 12 to 15 participants and the classes are demonstration with overhead mirror and plenty of opportunity to examine products and ask questions.

All classes include a full dinner featuring the dishes taught (4 to 7 dishes per lesson).

Printed recipes in a special presentation folder are provided. 

All prices include GST. 

Payment in full is required to secure your place. No refunds will be given. You may have someone else take your place in class or, with 48 hrs notice, you may transfer to another date if there is room. 

Italian

The Italian courses aim to give students a working knowledge of the basic ingredients and techniques most commonly used in Italian cooking and cover a range of regional dishes including pasta, risotto, gnocchi and their various sauces as well as veal, chicken and fish dishes. There is also an introduction to regional olive oils and other special ingredients.
Additional seasonal courses are also offered from time to time.

Thai

Thai cooking lessons include a full introduction to special ingredients and students learn to prepare a range of dishes covering soups, salads, curries, steamed and fried dishes and snacks.

Special 1 session courses in Northern Thai dishes featuring larb, green papaya salad, BBQ chicken and sticky rice are also available.

Vietnamese

Vietnamese classes include an introduction to special herbs and other ingredients and cover a wide range of dishes including appetisers, noodles, soups and grills.

The North African courses classes cover salads, cooked vegetable dishes and tajines from different regions of Morocco and desserts.
