CUISINE DU MAROC

Choumicha, Morocco's most loved TV Chef, Author of cookbooks and Editor of the country's prime cuisine and lifestyle magazine, "Parfums, Saveurs et Cuisine du Maroc" (pictured at right with Meera last May),has commissioned Meera to translate the magazine's website into English.
Meera will be translating the magazine on a regular basis and you will find articles on "Tastes of Morocco's riads" articles on Moroccan food personalities and many traditional recipes little known outside Morocco.
In the meantime, the English version last October's Ramadan issue is online now!
A must for anyone wanting to keep up with what is happening on the food scene in Morocco!
OUTOUL ASSOCIATION
During one of Meera's recent trips to Morocco, she had the opportunity to visit Douar Doutmanroute, the native village of Ahmed Nait, Director of Travel Link, with whom Meera works on all her Moroccan events.
Nait has been active in setting up the Outoul Association which provides social services for local women. 200 children from a radius of 60km around the vilage are being educated, housed and fed through funding received by the association. A dormitory is currently being built to increase the capacity to 300 children who will receive education, a balanced diet and medical care.

MARKET FRESH
the website of the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Markets is an invaluable resource.
Meera's first collaboration with them was on their Asian Vegetable and Herb Guide and Tropical Fruit Guide which are available in brochure form at your local greengrocer and demystify over 50 types of exotic and mysterious Asian greens and rare tropical fruits respectively.
The brochures feature colour photographs, full names and descriptions of the items together with tips for their use.
In addition to these brochures, the website features information on seasonal availability of hundreds of different fruits, vegetables and flowers throughout the year, tips for their use, recipes and a host of other useful information.
Meera's most recent collaboration with Market Fresh was on a healthy Asian recipe brochure.
